The natural beauty of St. Pete Beach’s shoreline can truly be appreciated by people of all ages, but the ample expanse of sand (a football field’s worth between TradeWinds Island Resorts and the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico) provide all the space teenagers require to experience an array of beachfront activities!
Grab a volleyball and hit one of many volleyball courts, challenge a friend to a heated game of tetherball, or go long for a quick football scrimmage!
If your teen is looking for more adventure out on the crystal clear Gulf of Mexico, there is plenty to keep them preoccupied. Stand-Up Paddleboards are available to rent and are certainly a preferred mode of travel for those looking to explore the shore. The beauty of these paddleboards is they are perfect for beginners as well as athletes. Most weekends there’s usually even a free paddleboard lesson that all guests are welcome to attend and enjoy!
For those that prefer a closer view, kayaks are available to rent from the Tiki Hut near Island Grand as well. Your teens will enjoy gliding along the coastline, enjoying scenic views and a little peace and quiet.
Another fantastic way to go get out there is from the comfort of a floating cabana! You can rent a giant raft that can fit up to four for by far the most relaxing way to catch a tan and a wave.
There’s also no need for a driver’s license to cruise around the Island Grand resort in a foot peddle paddleboat. Teens can explore the entire property and encounter plenty of selfie-worthy moments behind the wheel.
