Through these efforts, we are proud to create meaningful connections and measurable impact where it matters most.
TradeWinds is also committed to supporting the heart of our industry—our hospitality professionals. Grants from the fund can help meet immediate and critical needs such as rent, utilities, groceries, and childcare. In partnership with our corporate team at Highgate, we also collaborate with the Associate Relief Fund, which has enabled us to respond quickly to colleagues affected by natural disasters and will continue to support our community during other hardships.
We invite those who wish to make a direct impact to help grow this endowment through individual contributions. Funds are distributed through a grant application process and awarded based on demonstrated need.

The TradeWinds Tides of Change Foundation is more than a charitable initiative—it’s a commitment to building stronger communities and a brighter future. Together, we can turn small acts of kindness into powerful waves of change.
OUR STORY
The TradeWinds Eco Team was founded in 2017 by passionate team members committed to protecting our coastal environment. Since then, we’ve removed over 1,000 pounds of debris from our beach and continue to host monthly cleanups on the second Saturday of the month.
Through partnerships with Keep Pinellas Beautiful, Tampa Bay Watch, and Sea Turtle Trackers, we actively support programs that preserve and restore our local ecosystems. These initiatives include Adopt-a-Shore, sea turtle nest protection and education, and the Shells for Shoreline Program, where oyster shells from our restaurants are sustainably collected and repurposed to help rebuild vital estuary habitats. We’re also proud to host sustainability-focused events, including World Oceans Day.
Our efforts have been recognized with the 2023 “Adoption Group of the Year” award and the 2024 Business of the Year award from the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce. We remain dedicated to reducing our environmental impact and living by a simple promise: leave only footprints in the sand.
