Pier 60 is a fantastic destination no matter what time of day you decide to visit. It’s mix of shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment is always ready to show locals and visitors alike a great time on the shoreline Still, nightfall may be the best time to pay this popular local spot a visit, since the views from the pier as the sun slips below the water are some of the best in the area. This treasured local seafood stop has been a favorite of residents and visitors for nearly 45 years, given its amazing menu, bountiful bar, and undeniably welcoming atmosphere. Be sure to head out early, ask for a seat up top (there may be a wait), then prepare for one amazing view.

Fort de Soto Park
Speaking of well-kept secrets, Fort de Soto Park — although it’s Pinellas County’s largest — is a favorite that’s mostly only frequented by locals. It is a bit of a hidden gem (located amid a smattering of smaller key islands), but it’s definitely worth making your way to. The park itself spans five interconnected islands, all possessed of an abundance of wildlife, and natural beauty. Upham Beach Park
Upham Beach is one of those spots folks tell us they fall in love with, and dream of returning to even before they head home. As one of the region’s only unobstructed public beaches, Upham radiates a serenity it’s tough to describe. Meandering wooden walkways, volleyball courts and legendary fishing spots are just some of the reasons visitors love it, but the beauty of the sunsets from this gorgeous spot can’t be overstated.
