Shopping at a local farmers market is always an enjoyable way to spend a day. These bustling bazaars are a great way to both save money, and support local sellers. Even better, the mild fall climate on our gulf shores means farmers markets are year-round community staples here. And thanks to our large number of local growers, artisans and craftspeople, the quality of what you’ll find is second-to-none. Hungry for a great day out? Here’s our overview of our favorite St. Petersburg area farmers markets.
St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market (Saturdays, 9am–2pm)
No look at the area’s farmers markets would be complete without spotlighting this long-running staple. The Saturday Morning Market happens at two different locations depending on the time of year: Williams Park is the place to be in the summer, and Al Lang Stadium is where to go during the cooler October-May season. When you go, expect artisanal produce, hot prepared foods from a variety of vendors, and even live music. The Saturday Market has a convivial, party-feel atmosphere, so you’re certain to have a great day anytime you stop by.

Corey Avenue Sunday Market (Sundays, 10am–2pm)

And to be fair, Corey Avenue offers worthy finds at any time of the week. Still, the Sunday Market truly draws the treasure-hunters out on weekends, many in search of farm-fresh organic fruits and veggies, grab-and-go foods, plants, and even arts and crafts offered by talented local makers.

Known across the metro for being the place to go for gourmets, Indian Shores is where visitors will find premium ingredients, niche produce, and many other hard-to-find items that don’t appear at most other outlets. Looking for fresh-from-the-oven baked goods? You’ll find them here. Handcrafted clothing, jewelry and accessories? Prepare for a selection. And of course, fresh produce, flowers and fruit. As a bonus, the December-to-April schedule means the weather will be utterly perfect.
