Ahoy, me mateys, and come aboard the TradeWinds Island Grand, where young buccaneers have the adventures of a lifetime. Hang out with RedBeard the pirate, look a swan in the eye from a paddleboat, plunge down the three-story waterslide, or learn how to throw a cast net and enjoy shore fishing with Captain Tim at Guy Harvey Outpost. Relax and float in Florida's warm waters as your kids jump and climb on inflatable slides, floating trampolines and large floating cabanas. Splash Island Water Park is located in the crystal blue waters of the Gulf, just off the white sandy shore behind TradeWinds Island Grand. The park will have certified lifeguards on duty and all guests will be required to wear life jackets. One hour sessions are available for purchase at the TradeWinds Adventure Center. First session begins at 10:00 a.m., last session is at 4:00 p.m. Open daily - Weather permitting.
Unlimited rides on the High Tide Slide are now included in the resort amenity fee! What’s three stories tall, 200 feet long, and can make even a totally cool teenager squeal with delight? Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and plummet down the three-story High Tide Water Slide located beachfront at Island Grand. Must be at least 42" tall.
KONK (Kids Only, No Kidding!) at Island Grand
No boring family vacation here! The KONK Club’s experienced counselors take fun seriously. These supervised programs offer a wide range of exciting things to do for kids aged 4-11 that include lunch or dinner, games and themed activities. Drop off the kids and enjoy a few hours to yourself to relax in a hammock or enjoy a quiet romantic dinner. Pre-registration is requested, nominal charge.
Daily Crafts with our TradeWinds Adventure Center Team
Let our TradeWinds Adventure Center team keep you entertained with activities and crafts for all ages. Whether it’s creating your own sea shell night light, making unique sea glass jewelry, playing poolside bingo or cheering on Dad in the belly flop contest, there’s fun for the whole family.The Painting Studio is open daily with a variety of items for customized gifts to take back home. Located at Island Grand.
Li'l Guys Activities at Guy Harvey Outpost
Get your flippers and fins ready for an ocean-filled week of fun! Meet at the Li'l Guys Activities Hut, located at Guy Harvey Outpost, to participate in crafts and themed activities each day. Learn about marine life that fills our oceans or partake in a sandcastle building contest. Designed for children of all ages. The Li'l Guys Activities Hut is open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Nominal fees may apply for some crafts.
Captain RedBeard the Pirate
Captain RedBeard drops by Pirate Island to show kids how to make their own sharktooth necklaces or buccaneer beads and will introduce them to Bones, his faithful parrot sidekick. RedBeard regales the young – and not so young - with his tall tales of the sea and songs of tropical adventures at the free pirate show. Check the calendar for RedBeard shows and crafts.
Paddleboats
Hop aboard a paddleboat and cruise under bridges, around islands and come beak to nose with one of our resident swans at Island Grand. This meandering waterway is home to graceful Japanese Koi and a variety of herons and egrets. Fish-feeding stations are located alongside the banks. Dive-In Movies
Grab a raft, jump in or sit poolside and watch a feature film on our inflatable big screen. Movies are shown at the beachfront pool at Island Grand (Tuesday/Thursday/Friday/Sunday) and Guy Harvey Outpost (Wednesday). Features are listed at the Adventure Center. Dive-in movies are included in the resort amenity fee.
Games, Games, Games
Play our 9 hole mini-golf course, enjoy life-size chess or join in on one of our ping pong tournaments. Play volleyball on the beach or even in the pool, take your shot at Bimini Ring, or cool off in our arcade. Also on the beach, you’ll find ladder ball, bocce ball and corn hole. Games are included in the resort amenity fee.
Beaker Tuck-Ins at Island Grand
Create the memory of a lifetime by surprising your kids on Saturday evening by having our loveable mascot Beaker the Pelican visit their room to personally wish them sweet dreams. He’ll even bring along a plush animal keepsake. Check our calendar for dates. Beaker Tuck-Ins are available with a 24 hour advance reservation. Hair Braids & More
Check out the beachfront pool deck at Island Grand on sunny weekends to find a local artisan that can teach children how to paint on canvas or get a few Caribbean hair braids.
Bungee Trampoline
Combine the fun of a trampoline with the thrill of bungee jumping and what do you get? A full day of excitement at TradeWinds Island Resorts! Island Grand boasts two bungee trampolines that are available for daily fun! Bungee Trampoline is now available for night rides during the weekends. Single ride tokens are available for purchase at the TradeWinds Adventure Center.

Everyone gets homework on vacation, but we have you covered. From science to art, our TradeWinds Adventure Center team will engage young learners. Benefit from some one-on-one aid or group together and improve your skills.
