Q: Where is St. Pete Beach located?
A: St. Pete Beach is located on the West Coast of Florida and is a separate municipality from St. Petersburg, which is situated southwest of Tampa and north of Sarasota.

Q: Is St. Pete Beach the same as St. Petersburg?
A: No, St. Pete Beach is an independent. In 1994, the citizens voted to shorten the name to “St. Pete Beach” to lessen the confusion with the City of St. Petersburg, which is located 20 miles east of St. Pete Beach.

Q: How big is St. Pete Beach?
A: St. Pete Beach is a barrier island that is approximately four miles long.  The municipality has a population of approximately 10,000 people.

Q: What is the temperature in St. Pete Beach?
A: St. Pete Beach is known around the world for its balmy weather. Summers can be long and hot with showers providing much appreciated relief during the rainy season. Daytime temperatures are in the mid to upper 80’s with evening temperatures in the mid 70’s. Winters can be cool, especially if the wind is coming off the wintry waters of the Gulf. Daytime temperatures are in the upper 60’s with evening temperatures in the mid 50’s. Spring and fall seasons are spectacular. Daytime temperatures in the mid 70’s make for perfect beach days and evening temperatures in the low to mid 60’s are always relaxing.

Q: Can you fly into St. Pete Beach?
A: There is no airport in St. Pete Beach. The two regional airports are St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport, located about four miles north of St. Petersburg. The much larger Tampa International Airport is located just north of downtown Tampa, approximately 27 miles from the Outpost. Most guests travel through Tampa International.

Q: How do I get from the airport to Guy Harvey Outpost?
A: Both airports have rental car facilities and taxi service. From Tampa International Airport, the taxi fare is $2.00 plus $2.25/mile, or about $62 one way. The transportation company Super Shuttle International also services the two major airports. Rates for shared service from Tampa International Airport to the hotel are approximately $25/person.
